Class 7 L

The Fourwinds Driving School 7L (learner's) program is the first stage in getting your BC drivers license. Our 7L theory program will help students navigate through the "learn to drive smart" manual and provide multiple choice tests which mimic the official learners test format, and can help teach new British Columbia drivers about the rules of the road as well as the road signs before they can begin in-car training.

Class 7 N

In BC, the 7N (Novice) license is step 2 in the BC graduated license process. After practicing with a licensed supervisor for a minimum of 12 months, a driver at the 7L stage can take the Class 7 BC road test and move onto the 7N (novice) British Columbia driver licensing stage. Fourwinds Driving School can provide practical training along with use of the car if needed.

Class 5

Getting a Class 5 BC drivers license is the last step in the graduated licensing program BC operates. The intention is to ensure that a driver at the novice stage should have accumulated enough highway and non-highway driving experience to feel comfortable driving anywhere in most weather and traffic conditions. Fourwinds Driving School utilizes simulations, defensive driving techniques and practical training to promote safety, and success!

The freedom that a motorcycle presents is unmatched and un parallel. The process to getting your class 6 is as follows

  • Knowledge test
  • Motorcycle Skills Assessment (MSA/MST)
  • Road Test
The BC motorcycle knowledge test is structured to check potential motorbike riders on their knowledge of the rules of the road, road signs and generally, how to be a safe motorcycle operator. In order to successfully pass the motorcycle knowledge test you must read through the British Columbia Learn to Drive Smart Guide and you should use BC motorcycle knowledge test practice exercises to make sure you really know your stuff.

Motorcycle Skills Assessment (MSA/MST)
is a  15-minute test of basic riding skills like signaling, handling the clutch and throttle, braking and turning.
If you have a 6L license, you can take the motorcycle skills test after you've held that license for at least 14 days.
If you have an 8L license, you'll need to have it for at least 30 days before you take the motorcycle skills test.

ROAD TEST!!

The Class 6 road test takes about an hour. That includes time for feedback from your examiner.
The test route goes through different riding environments, like city streets, commercial areas, highways, and intersections with stop signs and traffic lights.
The examiner rides behind you in a car, speaking to you by two-way radio.
